Welcome to the world of DICK FROST! I'm your host, a guy named Dick! The Dick Frost Band actually got it's start way back in 1974, as the Dakota Territory, featuring Dick Frost (Kid Ricky) on guitars and vocals, Gary Morrison (Sneaky Red) on Pedal Steel Guitar and vocals, Chris Cranston (Thumper) on Bass, and Vaughn Meyer (The Reverend) on keyboards and vocals. Back then, we were the house band at the Four Seasons, the 'premier' country dance club in Aurora. We were fortunate to share the stage with many of the greats in country music, including Ernest Tubb, Faron Young, and many others. After the Four Seasons, Gary and I took off to create a new band, the "Desperados". The Desperados played the circuit from Colorado, to Texas, Wyoming, New Mexico, Nebraska, and on and on for fourteen years. We also shared stages with some of the greats, including Willie Nelson. After the Desperados disbanded, I went on to pursue a solo career. I played all of the clubs in the Denver metro area for about fourteen years, also sharing stages with many other great artists, including Delbert McClinton, Firefall, etc. all by my lonesome!

One night, Gary and I were talking, and decided to put the band back together again! We called up Thumper, and away we went! The band was originally called Dick Frost and the Dickaroos, but the boys soon put an end to that. After four years, Gary had to bow out due to medical issues; however, he is and will always be my left hand man, the greatest steel player ever, and a member of the band! That's when we pulled our old friend Vaughn Meyer, the Reverend, out of retirement. He has since been with us, playing the best damn keyboard in town! Not to mention the "stomach Steinway". As most of you know, every other song we do is by a a dead guy! We believe in classic country, the real deal. We don't play any of that 'pretty boy' noise you hear on the radio. Or as the great Tom Petty puts it: "Bad rock bands with fiddles". We also enjoy the blues, some classic rock here and there, and most importantly, songs that I have written, which cover all of those styles. We like to call our music "CLASSIC COUNTRY ROCKIN' BLUES". Come out out and see us, and have a good time!
